Congratulations to the 2011 HEF Marathon Team who raised nearly $60,000 to benefit the Hingham Schools- a record amount!

During the months of May and June, 2011, PRS 5th graders hosted a magnet day for each kindergarten classroom featuring the new magnet materials supplied through a HEF grant.

Hingham Education Foundation sponsored at two day presentation at Hingham High School where all Hingham 4th and 5th graders had the opportunity to hear first hand the story of Ruby Bridges from Ms. Bridges herself! The students were moved and touched by Ms. Bridges personable account of her story in November 1960, when at that time just six-years-old, she became the first African American child to desegregate an elementary school.
